SUPPORTING PROGRAM 2024
In 2024, Homage to Ballet will also go beyond the dance performance and offer a range of open classes and workshops. In cooperation with Danse Suisse, Homage to Ballet will be an experience for dance enthusiasts who not only want to be there as an audience member, but also want to move themselves.

The registration fee per workshop is CHF 55 (Danse Suisse members CHF 49.50) and additionally you benefit from a discount on two performance tickets.
HOMAGE TO BALLET - OPEN CLASS
An open class with Elisa Carrillo Cabrera for people with previous ballet experience
When: Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:15 p.m. to 13:45 p.m
Where: On the stage of Theater 11, Zurich
This year we are once again offering the unique opportunity to experience an open class with an international star. The Benois de la Danse winner and co-director of the "Mexican National Dance Company" Elisa Carrillo Cabrera will teach this open class on the stage of Theater 11 and will be accompanied live by “The Ballet Pianist” Mladen Dabizljevic. Previous knowledge of ballet is necessary, but you don't have to be a professional.

HOMAGE TO BALLET - LET'S DANCE
A dance experience for adults and seniors with Clare Guss-West
When: Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 13:00 p.m. to 14:30 p.m
Where: Theater 11, Zurich
This workshop is aimed at adults and seniors who enjoy moving to music and are looking for an interactive experience with Homage to Ballet. World-renowned dance and health specialist Clare Guss-West will lead this 90-minute workshop, which will give space to exploring the movement of your own body. In particular, a dance piece from the performance will be analyzed and experienced anew through a new perspective. Previous dance experience is not necessary for this “dance experience”.

HOMAGE TO BALLET - WORKSHOP
A choreography workshop with Arshak Ghalumyan
When: Saturday November 16th 2024 from 2pm to 3.30pm
Where: On the stage of Theater 11
In this repertoire workshop, you will not only be coached by the choreographer Arshak Ghalumyan, but will also learn parts of his dance piece, which you can experience yourself as a spectator at the performance. A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the language of contemporary dance and learn new skills in the process. The choreography is in a contemporary style and requires advanced dance skills.
